Santander, a Spanish bank, has been ranked as one of the most sustainable banks in the world by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2022 and is also in the top three European banks on the index.
This marks the 22nd year Santander has been featured in this ranking, and of all the banks rated, Santander scored 83 points out of 100.
Additionally, Santander scored well in every single category (environmental, 76; social, 83, economic, 86). T areas that still need some work were environmental reporting, financial inclusion, social reporting, privacy protection, climate strategy, and lastly, customer relationship management.
