Better Packaging Co.
The Better Packaging Co. is on a mission to design out the waste associated with packaging through innovative materials, systems rethink, education, communication, and clever design.
They design revolutionary, customized packaging solutions for the new ‘eco’nomy – a circular economy in which generating waste is not an option, and the earth’s resources are not treated as infinite.
In 2018, co-founders Rebecca Percasky and Kate Bezar, set out on a mission to create sustainable packaging to support eCommerce & retail.
The result was their first product, the now-infamous Home Compostable mailing satchel called ‘A Real Dirt Bag’. They have since replaced over 60 million single-use, virgin plastic bags with plant-based, compostable alternatives and have a range that includes labels, garment bags, tape, pallet wrap, reusable mailers, and more.
But they haven’t stopped there. As a leader in the sustainable e-commerce packaging space, they have continued to innovate. The result is POLLAST!C™- the world’s first 100% Ocean Bound Plastic pollution mailers and poly bags.
These products are packed with impact. By working with communities in some of the world’s poorest and most polluted coastal regions, Better Packaging Co. helps to clean up their beaches and riverways. Plastic pollution is collected before it enters the ocean and then recycled into packaging. It’s a social solution to plastic pollution.
