Being one of the best surfers in the world as well as being one of the sport's most recognizable characters, humanitarian Rob Machado was inspired to create The Rob Machado Foundation shortly after becoming a father.

Machado's foundation is based on the belief that "our planet needs to be taken care of, and there's no better place to start than with our local communities and our children."

Machado's foundation has created several programs that reduce the impact of single-use plastic and help children live healthy and eco-friendly lives.

In addition to creating recycling systems for numerous schools' athletic fields, hosting beach cleanups, and creating innovative covered trash cans to keep litter out of the ocean, Machado's foundation has also been donating water filling stations to schools so that students have access to clean, filtered water without having to purchase single-use plastic water bottles.

From day one, The Rob Machado Foundation's main objective was to connect with kids and bring environmental education into their lives. They're working diligently towards creating an ecosystem that does just that, and when you donate to the Rob Machado Foundation, 100% of the proceeds go towards their programs.

This year, on November 10th, The Rob Machado Foundation is hosting its annual fundraiser with a special performance by Lukas Nelson. There will be a live and silent auction of one-of-a-kind surfboards, musical instruments, art, and trips of a lifetime. Tickets are limited and on sale now.
